Whew! What a relief
President Bush gave an exclusive interview with ABC today. When the reporter asked him if he agreed with the government report that called the US 'woefully unprepared' to face disasters, he replied:
"I think the US is better prepared than woefully unprepared."
Sleep well tonight.

I have never felt so unsafe in my life. Funny, isn't it. The Republicans, in a Cowboy-esque way, have always fancied themselves the true protectors of America, willing to pull their six-shooters at the drop of a hat. Bush, the quintessential Cowboy, continues to talk big but has no vision. If he ever had one, it's been lost in the mire of Iraq and the detritus of Katrina.
True. And the air seems to be running out of the baloon of his image. I just wish the Democrats had something attractive in the wings.
Well, it could happen.
