Robin Hood
Another remake of the Robin Hood story, this one from the wonderful folks who brought you "Gladiator." Apparently this one plays it as a love triangle between Robin, Marion, and the Sherrif of Nottingham.
Could be fun.

Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe, huh? It certainly can't be any worse than Kevin Costner's Robin Hood (though wasn't Alan Rickman just amazing!) But I'm still waiting for Baz Luhrman's promised Alexander the great film.
I thought maybe Baz had dropped that project after Oliver Stone more or less poisoned the concept? And there are supposedly three (!!) films being planned about 1066. The one that is furthest along is reconceived as a 'buddy' picute: William and Herold. Hard to imagine. Why don't they just go with the straight history - its interesting enough as it is.
I just read some of the "buzz" on Robin Hood -- the Sheriff's story! I'm not convinced that Robin Hood as a bad guy/terrorist will fly. It will be fun if a decent 1066 film really does get made.
