Conservapedia again - and Obama
The conservative answer to the evil Wikipedia, Conservapedia, has an entry on Barack Obama that you should read. It shows you where much of the conservative mind set seems to be. Here's the first paragraph:
Barack Hussein Obama, II (allegedly born in Honolulu,[1][2] August 4, 1961) is the 2008 nominee of the Democratic Party for president.[3] Obama has served as a freshman Democratic Senator from Illinois since 2004. On August 23 he chose Senator Joseph Biden as his running mate. In 2007, Obama was rated the most liberal Senator by the National Journal, who had rated Senator John Kerry the most liberal senator during his presidential run as well.[4] If elected, Obama may become the first Muslim President of the United States.
Not quite sure what to make of this. You really ought to read the whole thing.

I'm confused -- is he a Muslim, or the wrong kind of Christian with the wrong kind of pastor? I can't hate him till I know the RIGHT reason!!
And by way, "allegedly born in Honolulu?" Seriously?
You should read the rest of it.
I did read the rest of it because I was confused by the "allegedly born in Honolulu" also. Some people it seems, feel that he may have been born overseas, and therefor could not (per the constitution) be the president. I guess that some people grasp for straws when it seems that they might go down.
Actually it was John McCain who was born in a foreign country. Some people questioned his ability to be president but since he was a military baby ...
(but there were a few other odd things about the article too)
1.) I am pretty sure Conservapedia is satire (I think it started out as a serious site)
2.) To be president the constitution says you have to be naturally born American. McCain has never been any other nationality other than American. Moreover the canal zone was American soil.

Joey - If McCain supporters can portray Obama as 'unAmerican' I can point out that McCain was not, strictly speaking, born in the United States of America.
And you are wrong about Conservapedia. While cleverly disguised as a site making satiric fun of the Right, it is indeed a serious Conservative site. IIRC it was founded by Phyllis Schlaffly's son.
BTW Joey: is your dad still high on Palin? (Does he know Rich Lowry?)
And where the hell have you been the last few weeks? Did you get a real job or something?
Just asking.
Tia still wants to know why you aren't blogging.
So Joey, is the McCain/Palin campaign a satire too? (Or do I have it confused with SNL?)
