The "Real America"
The North Carolina county that Sarah Palin claimed was part of "real America" went for Obama by more than 18 percentage points.
Just thought I'd point that out. And we got rid of Liddy Dole, too.

I am shocked that you put "got rid of Libby Dole" in such small print.
Clemens is nothing if not subtle. Well, maybe a bit vindictive too.
Hurray!!
The latest Harper's magazine has a piece on Molotov Mitchell, the right-wing nutjob behind many of the crazy-rumor-based viral videos attacking Obama. Apparently he's from North Carolina and said that he was proud to come from a Bush-supporting state, and hoped that his state helped elect John McCain. I felt some Schadenfreude just reading that with the knowledge that N.C. flipped to the Dems. And by a close margin too! Do you think the Libertarians took more votes from the Democrats or the Republicans?
I was also happy to hear that voters rejected Dole's stupid smear campaign.
Yep! Most commentators about her loss lay the blame for its dramatic size to that last ad. It was so stupid that even the Tarheels realized that they were being courted with the assumption that they WERE that stupid.
