Inadvertent truth
Sometimes headline writers get carried away and blurt out more truth, or more humor, than is advisable. Here's the headline from NRO's article by Andrew McCarthy:
Saying No to Justice.
Is that NROs stance on justice?
thought so.
Labels: conservatives, politics, Republicans

(1) The link is broken.
(2) That's not a terribly edifying thing to say about a former employee of the Justice department who successfully prosecuted terrorists and is protesting what he considers to be the current administration's ham-fisted attempts to lay a veneer over upcoming show trials.
Jack? You don't recognize irony? I was talking about the inept headline, not necessarily what the article was about.
But since you bring it up, I reject your characterization of the not-yet-existing trials. And one man's hamfistedness is another's subtle trap.
Oh well.
Given the title of the post, "inadvertent truth", no I don't recognize irony.
I'm slow that way. You should see me write, then revise, papers. It takes years. It's amazing that I passed mid-tenure review.
Well, let's say it has multiple layers of meaning. My problem with papers is simply getting them down on paper. It is amazing that I got my full professorship last semester.
Though it was close.
