They're different from you and me
They lack a sense of proportion.
"By the time I feed my family, I have maybe $400,000 left over," - Rep. John Fleming (R-LA), in an interview on MSNBC, on why as a small business owner he can't afford a tax increase.
When I retire I hope I am down to my last $400,000.

Be sure to check out Jon Stewart's take on it.
This guy says he spends $200,000 per annum feeding his family: which consists of him, his wife (I presume) and his ADULT children.
Wonder how much the kids demand?
